If is a lower bound of a subset , and , we call the (unique) minimum of .
Lower Bound
For a subset , if is a real number such that for all , , we say that is a lower bound of .
If m is a lower bound of a subset S⊂R, and m∈S, we call m the (unique) minimum of S.
For a subset S⊂R, if a is a real number such that for all x∈S, a≤x, we say that a is a lower bound of S.
